Clara Barton
Catharine A. F. Stebbins

Letter from Clara Barton to Catharine & Giles Stebbins [Letter]

The letter reads:

My cherished friends
Just a line must go with this little memento to tell you of my welfare. That I am once more well enough to have ventured a visit to Washington in apparent safety. I have been here some weeks and hope to remain ? much longer yet. I find the city much as when here before. Some old time friends -- but oh I miss you so. You cannot tell how much, neither can I. Shall you be here this winter if so please find me. At present I am at ? Westfalls. 105 C St. S.E. Amo assist Mrs. ? ? to receive ladies. This must be my apology for such haste but none the less am I as ?

Your sincerely loving friend
Clara Barton
